The Great America Fast XII

I’d like to personally invite you to join us for The Great American Fast this September 9th and 10th. For those of you new to TGAF, every second weekend of September, we gather ourselves from across America to seek God’s favor for our nation.

We will meet physically at the Lamar Lighthouse Camp in Lamar PA, but many groups and individuals will also gather across the country, as well as other nations.

This year’s theme is, “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13). Evangelist Tom Palmer will teach the Lamar group about prayer and guide us in prayer sessions throughout the weekend. Brit Emel is the preaching evangelist for this year’s Fast from New Mexico.

The Fast begins Friday night (September 9) at 6:00 pm and continues through Saturday (September 10) at 6:00 pm. At that time, we will break fast with a meal. The weekend will be filled with prayer and preaching. America is counting on you to be a part.

If you would like to attend the Lamar meeting or start your own group of prayer warriors, please contact me through the Contact page or leave a comment. I’ll get back to you with more details. There is no charge to take part and there is free lodging at the camp on a first-come, first-served basis. Hope to hear from you soon!

I'm not getting any younger and I've enjoyed writing almost my entire life - from lyrics and poetry to short stories and novels. Most, but not all of my writing, contain spiritual themes. I am a born-again Christian, and I try to honor my Lord through the written page. He has truly changed my life and I'm forever grateful. In addition to writing, I also pastor Lifegate Baptist Church in Bellefonte, PA, and have a burning desire to see God revive our land. The Great American Fast is my passion so please stop by and visit me at www.thegreatamericanfast.org. I've lived in the same small town all but twelve of my 60 years. Central PA is a wonderful place to live - mountains, streams, and peace abound. I enjoy spending time with my family and the family pets - four cats and a dog.
